Our researchers Dr.phys. Mārtiņš Vanags and prof. Andris Šutka received an Latvian Academy of Sciences award “Most noteworthy achievement in Science 2022”. This award was received for their research in the generation of hydrogen via decoupled amphoteric electrolysis which allows for the low cost production of hydrogen using a simple setup. This research was done in collaboration with researchers in the Institute of Solid State Physics UL and UL chemistry faculty.
